Viet Nam will strive to achieve fisheries exports of US$9 billion this year, equivalent to the figure in 2019, the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers, has said.
The import-export value of agro-forestry-fisheries products in the first four months of 2021 stood at about US$32.07 billion, with exports estimated at $17.15 billion, a 24.2 per cent increase year-on-year.
Viet Nam’s fisheries exports are unlikely to meet the US$10 billion target set by the Government for this year because of the multiple challenges like the US-China trade war, lack of demand and increasing competition.
